Things to Know Before Buying a Portable Projector

Portable Projector
Today we are living in a world where devices are becoming more mobile. Bulky mobile sets are miniaturised to trendy pocket mobiles, heavy vacuum cleaners are modified into handy mini cleaners, so it should not be taken as a surprise if a projector also gets evolved into portable projector. These new age projectors eliminate the uncertainty of connectivity issues during important business presentations in remote offices.

These devices are small enough to get accommodated in your luggage and at times even in the pocket of your shirt. The question that arises is will the mini version be able to deliver all the features like the bigger ones. What majority of people do not know is that these light weighing projectors can easily provide the presentation quality that is required for a board room, class room or even a home theatre.

While looking for a mini or a portable projector the features that are to be looked for are:

·         Quality of Output display: Being small in size should not empower the projector to compromise on the brightness or contrast. Projectors with best contrast ratios, resolutions and brightness are the ones that would yield best output quality. One more thing that needs to be looked for is the LED/lamp Life. You would certainly not want your picture to dim out in the middle of a business meeting.

·
User friendliness: What could be worse than the projector malfunctioning during the course of a presentation and you standing there without having the slightest of clues about how to make it working again? A good portable projector should have easy to use setup and controls. Nowadays, these devices come with remote control that makes it more user-friendly.

·         Ports: With the advent of technology there are various connectivity ports that have come into the picture. A good portable projector, though small in size, should have the option of the most commonly used ports such as USB, VG, composite AV port as well as HDMI ports. It should get easily connected to your DVD device, laptop or other data source.

·         Other attractive features: Although picture quality and connectivity options are of prime importance, however, there are certain additional features which would make the portable projector more alluring to the user. Features like built in speakers, internal memory, SD cards, extra battery backup, etc are some which one should watch out before selecting a device.
